Nike Officially Unveils the Kobe VI

Nike officially unveiled the Kobe VI today and boy are we in for a treat. This new edition to the Kobe line brings a new look along with great performance once again if you're out there cutting it up on the court. Kobe V shoe’s lightweight, low-cut profile. This year’s shoe features reduced midsole thickness to keep the foot closer to the ground for improved stability and better court feel. The shoe fulfills Bryant’s desire for a true low-top, similar to that of a running shoe or soccer boot, with a low collar design.
The basketball shoe also employs Nike’s innovative Flywire technology in a new, three-layer construction. Inside the shoe a layer of mesh lines the foot, followed by a layer of Flywire and topped off by another layer of breathable mesh with polyurethane islands for abrasion resistance. This unique construction is lighter, more breathable and more conformable to the foot than previous Flywire designs in the Kobe series.
To ensure excellent traction, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI has a solid rubber outsole with a Black Mamba inspired modified herringbone pattern. Certain China editions of the shoe include XDR, or Extra Durable Rubber, for sustained durability against the rough surfaces of outdoor basketball courts.

KAWS @ Emmanuel Perrotin Paris

American pop-artist KAWS recently embarked on a European adventure last month, displaying his latest collection of work at the Parisian Emmanuel Perrotin Gallery. Alongside a collection of SpongeBob and original character-centric paintings stand a 5ft Companion and two Accomplice vinyl statues in black and in pink. The exhibition represents shift in the artist’s solo exhibitions in that the focus appears to be veering toward the three-dimensional, and away from paintings and prints; this is of course only compounded by the recent display in Hong Kong. Fans of the print should not dismay however, since KAWS’s first print since 2007 has just landed at Art + Culture Editions. Stay tuned for a more in-depth look in the coming days.

Air Jordan III Cement (Release Date)

Jordan fans, you can now rejoice. There has officially been a slated release date for the up and coming Air Jordan III Cement's for 2011.

It's taken awhile but Jordan Brand has decided to give these puppies a January 22nd release date for next year so keep your eyes pealed for these. They haven't said if it will be a Quickstrike release or not, but we're thinking it'll be a general release so no camping needed.

White tumbled leather sets the stage on the upper of Tinker’s first Air Jordan, and just like in 1988, we are as happy as can be. next up is the cement print along the base of the heel and toe box, each providing the stark white upper with a unique contrast. Other details include an ait unit in the heel, followed by a white midsole, and a grey outsole. Other details include a red Jumpman on the tongue to match the insole, and a black Jumpman above the word “Air” on the heel.
